I’ve always had a soft spot for notebooks. Especially the humble, rugged kind- Field Notes style. Kraft covers. Rounded corners. The kind you toss in a backpack or leave on the dash of your car. Notebooks that are meant to get lived in.
I used to fill mine with to-do lists, grocery scribbles, flashes of poetry, and questions I didn’t have the answers to yet. They helped me feel grounded in a season, in a moment, in myself.
That was the inspiration behind Slow Summer Field Guide. A simple printable self-care guide designed to gently support your nervous system through the fullness of August.

Because summer isn’t always easy.
Even in its beauty, it can feel like too much.
Too hot.
Too fast.
Too full.
The pressure to be productive, joyful, social, and “making the most of it” can quietly wear us down.
I talk to so many people who feel stuck in “go” mode. They crave rest and regulation but don’t know how to access it in real life. They want to reconnect to themselves and the natural world, but feel pulled in too many directions.
This is for them. And honestly? It’s for me too.
A Seasonal Practice for Nervous System Repair
This printable isn’t a habit tracker or a self-improvement worksheet. It’s a rhythm keeper. A somatic practice rooted in nature-based wellness, designed to be as flexible and calming as it is useful.
The layout invites you into four themes:
These aren’t structured by week. Instead, they’re gentle anchors you can return to any time. Pick a few prompts each week. Repeat what resonates. Add your own. Let the rest go.
Each section includes:
You don’t need to overthink it.
This is for the moment when you realize your jaw’s been clenched all morning, or you haven’t stepped outside in days. It’s a pause you can hold in your hands.
Why Nature Connection Works
If you’ve followed my work, you know how deeply I believe in the healing power of nature and somatic awareness.
Even tiny acts of connection; listening to birdsong, standing barefoot on grass, noticing a breeze, can shift your state. They speak directly to the nervous system.
They say:
You’re safe.
You can slow down.
You belong here.
That’s what this printable supports. It’s not a replacement for deeper work, but it’s a powerful companion. A touchstone to come back to, again and again.
What I Hope It Offers You
I hope this printable lives on your fridge or tucked into your journal, not as a list of tasks, but as a reminder.
That rest is a right.
That slowing down is a form of resistance.
That your body deserves gentleness.
That being present, really present, is enough.
And that even in the busiest or blurriest of seasons, there’s still space for noticing, for reconnection, for a breath that leads you home.
