My Summer Glow Notes: A Simple Practice to Pause, Reflect, and Reconnect

Summer has a way of sweeping us up in its rhythm.

The longer days, the buzzing energy, the full calendars — it can all move so quickly. And before we know it, we’re halfway through the season wondering where the time went.

That’s why I created a simple little reflection I’m calling My Summer Glow Notes.

It’s not a big journaling practice or anything formal.

Just a creative way to capture what’s been keeping me grounded, nourishing me, and lighting me up lately. ✨

I put it together in Canva (you can use the template here if you’d like!) as a gentle pause. Something I could come back to at the end of the month or even use to set the tone for what’s ahead.

Here’s why I love it:

  • It helped me notice the small things that are actually keeping me steady.
  • It gave me permission to name what feels good without needing to explain it.
  • It offered a way to share more about myself – honestly and creatively – without oversharing or overthinking.

You can make your own version using photos, words, colors, textures — whatever feels true to your summer experience.

This practice isn’t about performance or perfection.

It’s about presence. And the quiet power of naming what’s here.

So if you’ve been feeling a little scattered, or just want a gentle way to reflect, I invite you to try your own Summer Glow Notes. You might be surprised what rises to the surface when you pause to look.

Feel free to grab the template here and make it your own. I’d love to see what’s glowing for you. ☀️

In presence and pause,
Jess
