Winter Forest Bathing at Missouri Botanical Garden
Wednesday January 29, 2025 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm CST
In Partnership with Missouri Botanical Gardens

Immerse yourself in the peaceful, wintry beauty of the Missouri Botanical Garden during a guided forest bathing and nature therapy experience with Jess Thenhaus, ANFT Certified Forest and Nature Therapy Guide. Experience the stillness of winter as you disconnect from the digital world and engage with the quiet, subtle life of the garden in its dormant state. Explore Shinrin-Yoku, the Japanese practice of forest bathing, as you tune into the unique sensory experience of crisp air, bare branches, and the soft crunch of winter beneath your feet.
Winter is a perfect time to embrace the outdoors, even in the cold, and connect with the natural cycles of rest and renewal. The session includes hot tea and a chance to warm up inside if needed. In case of inclement weather, we’ll move the experience indoors, bringing nature in with us.
Nature’s Invitation:
This experience is a leisurely walk, not a strenuous hike, intended for deep relaxation and connection. As Jess guides you through gentle, mindful invitations, you’ll engage with nature intimately, using all your senses. Each session includes opportunities to share your insights and learn practices for nurturing your nature connection at home.
