New Year, Quiet Steps – Winter Forest Bathing at Missouri Botanical Garden
Saturday January 31 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm CST
In Partnership with Missouri Botanical Gardens

Begin the year with a gift of stillness. Join Jess Thenhaus, ANFT Certified Forest and Nature Therapy Guide, for a guided forest bathing and nature therapy experience in the peaceful, wintry beauty of the Missouri Botanical Garden.
Step away from the rush of daily life and welcome the new year with quiet presence. Through Shinrin-Yoku, the Japanese practice of forest bathing, you’ll attune to the subtle rhythms of the season. Enjoy the crisp clarity of cold air, the sculptural beauty of bare branches, and the soft crunch of winter beneath your feet during this quieter season at the Gardens.
Winter invites us to slow down, rest, and renew. This session is a gentle way to honor that rhythm while opening to fresh possibilities in the year ahead. We’ll close with a warming cup of tea as we reflect on what the season, and the new year, has to offer.
The session includes hot tea and time warming up indoors if needed. In the case of inclement weather, we’ll bring the essence of nature inside for a cozy and restorative experience.
