June Full Moon Forest Bathing in the Gardens
Monday June 1 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm CDT
Partnership with Missouri Botanical Gardens

Under the light of the early summer full moon, the garden begins to settle into the season. The air is warm, the landscape lush and quietly alive, and the long days start to soften into evening. These June sessions offer a rare after-hours experience of the garden, held in moonlight and the gentle unfolding of summer.
Inspired by Shinrin-Yoku, this gentle experience encourages participants to release stress, awaken the senses, and reconnect with nature’s rhythms.
Guided by Certified Forest and Nature Therapy Guide Jess Thenhaus of Urban Forest Therapy, you’ll be invited to slow down and attune to the freshness of spring through gentle, sensory-based invitations. As moonlight filters through unfolding leaves, the evening becomes a space for reflection, balance, and connection with the living world around you.
What to Expect:
A slow, mindful walk through the evening garden under the early summer full moon.
Guided sensory invitations attuned to the season’s themes of renewal and growth.
Space for calm, reflection, and connection to nature’s rhythm as summer begins to emerge.
This is a leisurely walk, not a strenuous hike, designed for deep relaxation and connection. Guided by Jess, you’ll engage with nature through mindful, sensory invitations. Each session includes time for quiet reflection, optional sharing, and simple practices you can bring into your daily life to nurture your connection with the natural world.
Each walk at the Missouri Botanical Garden is a distinctive encounter, welcoming individuals of all fitness levels.
