Autumn Evening Forest Bathing at Missouri Botanical Garden | October 5

Monday October 5 @ 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm CDT

 Partnership with Missouri Botanical Gardens

Forest bathing Missouri Botanical Garden

By early October, autumn has settled into the Garden. The air is cooler, the light takes on a golden quality, and fall color begins to emerge throughout the landscape. This Forest Bathing + Nature Therapy Walk offers a chance to slow down and immerse yourself in the sights, scents, and textures of the season.

Inspired by Shinrin-Yoku, this gentle experience encourages participants to release stress, awaken the senses, and reconnect with nature’s rhythms.

Guided by Certified Forest and Nature Therapy Guide Jess Thenhaus of Urban Forest Therapy, you’ll move slowly through the garden and take in the gentle scents, textures, and sounds of spring. Through sensory-based invitations, the evening becomes a space to unwind, reconnect with yourself, and attune to the renewing energy of the season.

What to Expect:

  • A slow, mindful walk through the garden at the turning of the season.
  • Gentle invitations to awaken your senses and deepen presence.
  • Space for reflection, rest, and connection with nature’s subtle transitions.

This is a leisurely walk, not a strenuous hike, designed for deep relaxation and connection. Guided by Jess, you’ll engage with nature through mindful, sensory invitations. Each session includes time for quiet reflection, optional sharing, and simple practices you can bring into your daily life to nurture your connection with the natural world.

Each walk at the Missouri Botanical Gardens is a distinctive encounter, welcoming individuals of all fitness levels.

  1. Hi
You had one a couple of weeks ago that had tea and a little crafting with nature. Was that a special event? It was $55.00.
I’m wondering if tonight is the same?
