What you’re watching/ reading below came from a recent Instagram reel—a small but powerful moment that felt worth sharing beyond the scroll. (And if you are on IG, you can follow me @urbanforest.therapy for more reflections like this.) 🌿
The Wisdom of the youth…
During one of my Forest Bathing & Nature Therapy sessions at the @stlouisearthday Festival today, I offered an invitation: wander out and find a gift from the land. Bring it back if you could, or simply carry the memory of it. 🌱
After our time of exploration, a young person returned holding a delicate dandelion puff.
They said: “It made me remember that we are all so fragile… we could fall apart at any time… but even if we did, we could come back as something even greater.”
Honestly, I’m still thinking about it.
I mean… my mind was blown.
The wisdom, the hope, the resilience carried by young people is so powerful.
It stopped me in my tracks and filled me with such deep gratitude and awe.
It’s moments like these that remind me: nature is always speaking to us.
And sometimes, the youngest among us are the clearest translators. 🌎
I hope you get outside today.
Maybe wander a little.
Maybe see if the land has a gift waiting for you, too. 🌼
In Peace & Presence,
🌱 Jess
